Aeroflot posted surprisingly high profits for the first quarter of 2006, despite high fuel prices. However, as Dimitri K. Simes of The National Interest reports, they accomplished this by raising fares and cutting service, technical, and safety standards. Could Aeroflot be courting disaster?
