The State Duma Committee on Property recommended formally rejecting the draft amendments to the law "On Auditing."

The draft that would replace licensing with self-regulation starting from July 1, 2009 was approved in its first reading on May 18, 2005. Recently, the State Duma has received a new redaction of the long-awaited bill.

However, according to the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property Viktor Pleskachevsky, such conceptual changes to the bill are not allowed at the time of the second reading. Therefore, the deputies will need to dismiss the bill this week, after which the members of the State Duma committee on property will introduce a new draft for consideration.
