 14.04.09
“Amid the financial crisis we have already witnessed increased crime in the banking sector, including money laundering and fictitious bankruptcy,” - announced Oleg Logunov, Deputy chief of the Investigative Committee of Russia’s Ministry of the Interior.
According to Logunov, the Ministry of the Interior is already investigating a number of cases of bank owners scamming their clients: “We are forced to arrest suspects more and more often due to many suspects attempting to leave the country, transferring funds abroad and escaping the investigations.”
The Deputy Chief of the Investigative committee believes economic-related crimes will continue to increase.
