Customs Opens Five More "Green Lines"

On April 29, 2008 the number of "green lines" at Russia's border crossings, marine (river) ports, and airports was increased from 33 to 38.
The new points are available at:
- Kaliningrad International Airport (Kaliningrad Customs)
- Krasnodar International Airport (Krasnodar Customs)
- Bolshoi Port of Saint Petersburg (Baltic Customs)
- Svetlogorsk Vehicle Access Gate (Vyborg Customs)
- Salla Vehicle Access Gate (Murmansk Customs)
The green lines may be used by travelers who are not carrying goods liable to written declaration.
Goods subject to written declaration include items worth more than 65,000 rubles and/or the overall weight is more than 35 kg, currency of more than 10,000 USD, precious metals and stones, cultural artifacts, weapons, alcohol and tobacco products, and others.
These changes are in accordance with the Order of the Federal Customs Service of Russia from Dec. 11, 2007 "On the Modification of the Order of Nov. 22, 2006 № 1208".
