The Russian government decided to increase the quota for the admission of foreign workers again – to 1.5 million. This is according to Decree Number 737 on October 3, 2008.

By October 15, the Ministry of Economic Development officials should submit a draft decree on quotas for 2009. It plans to increase the quota again as well – to between 3.7 and 3.9 million workers.
