HP Software: 2007 Russia Business Review

 07.02.08
HP summarized work of its software department in Russia in 2007 and also introduced a new product to automate IT operations and management - HP Service Manager 7.0.
The total business growth of HP Software in 2007 exceeded the growth of the Russian software market by almost four times. One of the key factors of this success is the expansion of HP Software’s Business Technology Optimization portfolio through the integration of assets from Mercury, Knightsbridge Solutions, Bristol Technology, Opsware, and SPI Dynamics.
HP Software implemented several joint projects with some of Russia’s major companies, such as VTB, Savings Bank of the Russian Federation, Russian Railways, TNK-BP, and many others. The release of HP Service Manager 7.0 became one of the main events for HP Software at the end of 2007. This new-generation software to automate the management of business services provides several new essential abilities, among other things:
- service catalog support;
- integrated knowledge database;
- web-service support as means for integration with other HP Software products.
For customers who already use HP Service Desk and HP Service Center solutions – over 200 customers in Russia – HP developed new upgrade program available within existing support contracts.
Release of a Russian-language version is planned for February 2008.
