Recently a group of Duma deputes introduced a suggestion to increase insurance compensation on private bank deposits in Russian banks from 400,000 to 700,000 rubles. Authors of the draft also suggest increasing the limit for 100% compensation from 100,000 to 200,000 rubles.

Moreover, by order of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, specialists of the Central Bank and relevant departments are preparing suggestions for further increasing state guarantees for bank deposits.
