Customs now requires importers to enter all laptop serial numbers at customs declaration so that customs officers together with law enforcement bodies are able to check the destination where they are activated.

Participants of the market worry, however, that customs officers are not ready to work by the new rules. These changes will demand changes in procedure which, as shown by experts, will take from one to three months.

At this stage there may also be problems with deliveries, as well as a shortage of laptops, which will cause a temporary jump in prices.
