On behalf of the AEB Visa Task Force, I am pleased to update you on the developments of Russian language Immigration Cards.

At the 19th Session of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council on October 17 we noted with great pleasure Minister Gref's direct intervention in the issue. He was assured by relevant officials that action to revert to English Language translations on immigration cards was under way and that action is imminent.

In the meantime, cards filled in completely in English script continue to be accepted at the border (although officially this is only acceptable for passport details). The attachment, showing the Russian language card alongside an English translation, should help you in filling in your details.

We have also been informed that in the current state of confusion some passengers are failing to complete migration cards and have been allowed through passport control without migration cards. It is strongly recommended that foreign nationals secure and complete a migration card to avoid problems when leaving the country.
