Alinga has been informed that several large banks have stopped opening accounts for foreign companies registered in offshore zones or registered less than one year ago.

There is no direct prohibition on opening bank accounts for such companies. However, with recent changes to the legislation on banking, many have decided to implement this restriction themselves rather than run the risk of running afoul of the authorities.
