The Federal Tax Service is once again reminding employers about how to notify the tax inspection about new foreign employees.

Employers have always had to notify the tax inspection about new foreign employees, ( as described in the law “On legal status of foreign citizens in Russian Federation”) and the penalty for failing to notify the FTS about such employees has long been clearly stated in the Administrative Offences Code of the RF.

These reminders, however, are likely stemming from the fact that the FTS and the Federal Migration Service are establishing information exchanges and mutual support for issues concerning immigrant labor in the RF.
