Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has called not "to breed" new communal flats when resettling tenants from shabby buildings, Putin declared, speaking at a meeting of the presidium of the Russian government on Monday.

The administration of the Samara region has bought enough apartments, but not all of them comply with the standards the government specified in its resolutions. An idea has been voiced to resettle people from buildings under risk to rather not bad apartments, but turned into communal flats," Putin warned.

"This will not do, one should not "breed" communal flats anew. We should offer people separate apartments," Putin stressed.
