 14.01.09
Russia’s State Duma deputes approved in its third and final reading a bill that would allow those resigning from their jobs eligible for the same unemployment benefits as those dismissed due to staff reduction. If the bill is approved by the Federation Council and signed by the President, then persons resigning from their job will be able to receive unemployment compensation for one year in the amount equal to 75% of their average wages but not exceeding established maximum unemployment benefit.
Starting in 2009, the maximum unemployment benefit is established at 4,900 rubles per month.
