President Vladimir Putin has signed the Federal law “On Amending Clause 217 of Part Two of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation.” The law stipulates that sums received by individuals in the form of grants, given by officially approved Russian organizations for the support of science, education, culture and formation, culture and art in the Russian Federation.

The federal law was passed by the State Duma on 7 March 2007 and approved by the Federation Council on 16 March 2007.
