On June 27 the State Duma passed a bill to extend Audit and Construction Licenses to Jan. 1, 2009.

The expiration dates of these particular licenses have already been changed several times. The reason is always the same: the self-regulatory organizations (SROs), which are supposed to regulate companies operating in these spheres after the licenses expire, currently lack the rules and standards to do so.
