Tax authorities of the Republic of Bashkortostan have invented a new method of exposing “grey” payroll schemes. To do so, they receive information from tour companies processing Shengen (EU) visas for their clients, explains representative of the regional Tax Service administration.

Tax authorities say that they have exposed people whose filed income could not have possibly allowed them to afford that visa – and in many cases didn’t seem sufficient for mere survival.

 
Inspectors say they will continue to use this method in the future.
