Unemployment Compensation May Go To Employers
 27.03.09
Officials of the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) and of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) proposed rendering financial support to employers that hire a person who is receiving unemployment compensation. The unemployment compensation would go to the employer to be paid as part of the employee’s salary. This financial support would continue for the entire length of time the employee would have been receiving unemployment compensation according to Labor Legislation (i.e. one year). The government is debating the proposal as part of a project to "develop competition" in the Russian Federation.
