 15.05.08
In 2007 market volume for IT outsourcing in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) countries amounted to $ 3 Billion.
These statistics are the results of a survey of national IT associations and large IT companies of 16 countries in CEE region. The survey was conducted by Hi-Tech Initiative, a Ukrainian company.
The largest profits from the IT-outsourcing market among surveyed companies belong to Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic. The largest numbers of specialists in this field, not taking into account support personnel, are found in Romania, Belarus, Hungary, Bulgaria and Ukraine, while highest salaries are paid in Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Estonia.
Central and Eastern European countries hope that someday its region may take a place with world leaders of outsourcing, such as India, China and Russia.
