Who Will Be Audited In 2008

 01.05.08
FTS administration in Moscow has adopted a schedule of field tax audits that includes 6,403 taxpayers or 4% more than were audited during last year.
Audit subjects are divided into four groups:
- The largest group combines organizations exhibiting two or more "credit risk" factors. These include: posting losses, making high tax deductions, and paying salary payments below the subsistence minimum.
- The second group is determined based on the company's business sphere. Inspectors are most interested in wholesale trade companies, construction organizations, leasing companies, and e-commerce companies.
- The third group includes loss-making companies and businesses chosen by the protocols of VAT-reimbursement commissions.
- The fourth group is to be determined based on information from external sources – law-enforcement agencies, customs authorities and individuals.
Tax inspections will be aimed not only at companies, but also 619 individuals. Among those "at risk" individuals to be chosen are lawyers and notary officers, individual entrepreneurs, and individuals with a yearly income of over 500 million rubles.
