An adjustment to the currently closed quotas for 2008 work permits is scheduled to take place this July but will affect only those who resubmitted applications for corrections prior to May 1, 2008. A committee will decide on the issue. The quota adjustment does not mean that new applications for foreign work permits for 2008 may be submitted.

Work permit applications for 2008 officially ended as of May 1, 2008.
